Web browsing and FTP (Mac Os X)

For Mac Os X it is not necessary to enter proxy settings for each individual browser, this information is controlled by the Operating System and can be changed in the Network System Preferences. Some browsers such as Firefox will take their set up information from the Network System Preference pane but allow you to make local changes.
